Report: G7 not to revise Russian oil price ceiling soon

MOSCOW, Sep 6 (PRIME) -- The G7 states have no plans to revise the price ceiling for Russian oil soon, Reuters reported on Wednesday citing four sources with knowledge of the G7 policies.

According a diplomatic source, negotiations on the matter were held in June or July, but the question of revision was not raised officially. Whereas some E.U. states were interested in recalculation, the U.S. and the G7 did not want to introduce changes.

The sources said that the U.N. General Assembly meeting in September could become an unofficial framework for further talks on the price restrictions.
